We saw some chairs at a resort we really liked, turned out they were for sale at 900 each (online) Saw these chairs on Amazon, looked very similar in construction. Read the reviews, most of the negatives had to do with the alignment of the parts. I saw what people were referring to when I put them together, but frankly, I think the issue is misunderstood. Some of the plastic arm segments are difficult to set at first, and don't go all the way down, but will once you put the bolts through and slowly tighten them. There are very little tolerances with this, which is actually good. I also read people were stripping bolts. I didn't have that issue except on one, and the problem was that the bolt had a very slight back direction. Once I found that, no problem. One thing I like about these chairs and the construction, as we will be using them on a tanning ledge in the water, is if they did 'float' (which they do not at all), you can take some of the leg sections back off, fill the legs with sand to whatever level you want, then reattach. The only reason they would drift then is in high wind, and even then not sure how much. We bought the chair/table combo. Same with the table, the tops of the legs have an opening and they can be filled with sand, if needed, then reattached, which I am planning to do so the table in the water is more set in place. They have no screws to hold the legs, just tight friction. Actually, the table is far sturdier than I thought they would be at 20 bucks. I haven't seen whether the mesh on the chair holds water, as some have said, but don't really see that as an issue. All in all, and given this is right after I assembled and placed them on the tanning ledge, I am very satisfied as to the construction. As far as ease putting them together, as in anything, once I had done one, the other was very basic and much easier than some things I have bought on Amazon. We plan to order at least 2 more of these without the tables. I plan to do an update on this review later in the year after they have had a lot of use and see what the longevity and hardiness is. Overall, very satisfied. Our tanning ledge is about 7-8 inches deep, as a reference. Oh, I like the wheels on one end, makes it easy to move around. UPDATE: So it does hold some water on top of the mesh after a rain, but since it is going in the water, for us, isn't an issue. So far, so good. Ordered 2 more.
